Ratem FAQ
About Ratem
Q: What is Ratem?
A: Ratem is where you document how you experience a season.
After every match, you rate performances and build a personal record that reveals your tendencies, biases, and perspective as a fan over time.
Q: How does Ratem work?
A: Choose your team for the season. After each match, you have a limited window to rate performances.
Your ratings are saved to your season journal—turning your opinions into a structured record you can analyze, revisit, and compare.
The 48-Hour Window (Reframed)
Q: Why is there a 48-hour window to rate?
A: The window exists to capture your real reaction—not something revised days later.
By limiting when ratings can be submitted, Ratem preserves emotional accuracy and keeps your season data consistent and meaningful.
Q: What happens if I miss the 48-hour window?
A: That match is skipped.
Ratem prioritizes clean, consistent data over completeness—missing matches is part of keeping your overall profile accurate.
Q: I joined late. Can I still rate recent matches?
A: You’ll get a one-time grace rating so you can start immediately. After that, all ratings follow the same structure to keep your season data aligned.
Ratings & Comparisons (Shift to “mirror”)
Q: When can I see comparisons?
A: After you submit your ratings.
This ensures your opinion is independent—comparisons are meant to reflect your perspective, not influence it.
Q: What does comparison data show?
A: It puts your ratings into context—highlighting how you tend to differ from others over time.
The goal isn’t agreement—it’s understanding your own patterns.
Q: Can I edit my rating?
A: No.
Ratem captures what you thought in the moment. That consistency is what allows meaningful patterns to emerge over a season.
Your Team
Q: Why can I only choose one team?
A: Ratem is built around a single, consistent dataset.
Focusing on one team ensures your ratings are comparable across matches, opponents, and moments—making your season journal actually meaningful.
Q: Can I change my team?
A: As of right now, no. Your team is locked for the season to preserve the integrity of your data.
.
Q: Why can’t I rate other teams?
A: Reliable insights come from consistent context.
Rating multiple teams would fragment your data and weaken the patterns that define your perspective.
Ratings
Q: What’s the rating scale?
A: 1–10 in 0.5 increments.
This keeps ratings consistent and decisive, while still allowing enough nuance to reflect performance differences.
Season Journal & Identity (Big Upgrade Section)
Q: What is the Season Journal?
A: Your season journal is a complete record of how you saw every match.
Over time, it reveals patterns in how you rate, react, and evaluate performances.
Q: What insights will I get?
A: As your season builds, you’ll begin to see trends like:
How strict or generous you are
When your ratings change (wins vs losses, big games, etc.)
What types of performances you favor
Q: What is Ratem Wrapped?
A: Ratem Wrapped is your full-season breakdown.
It highlights your tendencies, monthly evolution, key patterns, and overall identity as a fan—built entirely from your ratings.
Q: Is Ratem about what fans think?
A: Not exactly.
Ratem helps you understand how you think—using comparisons and data to reflect your own perspective back to you.
Streaks & Badges
Q: What is a match rating streak?
A: It tracks how consistently you’ve captured your match reactions within the rating window.
Consistency leads to better insights over time.
