2. Minimum Age

Ratem is intended for users who are at least 16 years old.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 16. If we learn that a user under 16 has created an account or provided personal information, we may delete the account and related information.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of Ratem, and information received from third-party services used to operate the app.

  • Apple Sign-In information, if you choose Apple login

  • Google Sign-In information, if you choose Google login

3.2 Rating and Football Activity Data

Ratem is built around user-submitted football ratings and fan opinion. We may collect:

  • Player ratings

  • Manager ratings

  • Match ratings

  • Man of the Match selections

  • Captions, comments, or written opinions

  • Match history and rating history

  • Favorite club and team-related preferences

  • Fan comparison data

  • User vs fanbase comparison data

  • Rating trends, patterns, and generated insights

  • Public profile and public activity data, depending on app features and settings

3.3 Public Content

Some information you submit may be visible to other users, including:

  • Ratings

  • Captions or comments

  • Username or display name

  • Profile information

  • Public activity

  • Fan opinion data shown in community or match surfaces

You should not post content you do not want others to see.

3.4 Device, App, and Usage Information

We may collect information about how you access and use Ratem, including:

  • Device type

  • Operating system

  • App version

  • Browser type, if using web features

  • IP address

  • Crash reports

  • Diagnostics

  • Performance data

  • Pages, screens, or features viewed

  • Personalize the app based on favorite club and rating history

5. How Ratings and Insights Work

Ratem uses user-submitted ratings, match context, fan aggregate data, and rating history to generate insights.

For example, Ratem may show:

  • How your ratings compare with other fans

  • Your biggest disagreement with the fanbase

  • Your agreement score for a match

  • Your Man of the Match alignment with fans

  • How your ratings change over time

  • Player-specific rating patterns

  • Match, monthly, or season-level summaries

Insights are generated from available data and may change as more information becomes available.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following ways:

6.1 With Other Users

Depending on app features and settings, your public content may be visible to other users. This may include ratings, captions, profile information, and public activity.

6.2 Aggregated or Anonymized Data

We may share or display aggregated or anonymized data that does not directly identify you, such as fan averages, rating distributions, agreement percentages, player averages, or match-level fan opinion trends.

6.3 Service Providers

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate Ratem, including hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, authentication providers, analytics providers, crash reporting tools, push notification providers, and customer support tools.

These providers may process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it according to their own policies and applicable law.

6.4 Third-Party Services

Ratem may use third-party services including, but not limited to:

  • AWS for cloud hosting and infrastructure

  • Firebase for app services, analytics, crash reporting, authentication, messaging, or related functionality

  • Google services for authentication, analytics, app distribution, or related functionality

  • Apple services for authentication and app distribution

  • API-Football or other football data providers for fixtures, teams, players, lineups, scores, and match context

The specific services used may change as Ratem evolves.

6.5 Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law or legal process

  • Protect the rights, safety, and property of Ratem, users, or others

  • Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms

  • Enforce our agreements

6.6 Business Transfers

If Ratem is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Some rating data, public content, or aggregate data may remain in backups or anonymized/aggregated datasets after account deletion where permitted by law and where it no longer directly identifies you.

9. Account Deletion and Data Requests

You may request deletion of your account by contacting info@ratem.app or by using any account deletion feature available in the app.

When you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, subject to legal, security, operational, and legitimate business requirements.

Some public content, aggregated fan data, anonymized statistics, backups, or records required for legal compliance may remain after account deletion.

You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect user information.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

11. International Users

Ratem is operated by RATEM LLC in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

By using Ratem, you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

12. Your Privacy Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Request deletion of your information

13. Push Notifications

Ratem may send push notifications related to rating windows, match rating availability, final rating analysis, app updates, or other relevant app activity.

You can control push notifications through your device settings.

We may send emails related to account activity, app updates, waitlist status, support, legal notices, or important service information.

If marketing emails are introduced, you will be able to unsubscribe from marketing communications. Some transactional or service-related emails may still be sent when necessary.

15. Third-Party Links

Ratem may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of third parties.

16. Children’s Privacy

Ratem is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
